Diving Agency Comparison

When choosing a diving training organization, it is important to understand the differences between individual certification systems. On this page, you will find a comparison of the ITDA-IHMP Agency system with other well-known diving organizations, including PADI, CMAS, SSI, SDI, TDI, IANTD and others.

This comparison is intended for divers who are considering training, transferring between diving organizations, or who want to check the approximate level of their existing diving qualification.

ITDA-IHMP offers training ranging from basic recreational courses to advanced technical, cave, Trimix, CCR and instructor-level qualifications. When comparing individual levels, however, it is always necessary to take into account the specific course, required skills, experience and certification requirements.

Divers can complete training through various international certification systems. Among the best-known are PADI, CMAS, SSI, SDI, TDI, IANTD and ITDA-IHMP. Individual organizations use their own names for courses and qualifications, while their levels may in certain cases be approximately compared.

When transferring between organizations or continuing your training, it is therefore advisable to verify the specific qualification directly with an instructor. ITDA-IHMP Agency also allows crossovers for divers, Dive Masters and instructors from other training organizations.

The goal of ITDA-IHMP is to assess a diver primarily according to their actual knowledge, abilities and practical diving skills. The name of a certification alone therefore does not necessarily have to be the only deciding factor when assessing a diver's level.
