ITDA-IHMP Certification in Slovakia

Certification is based on the assessment of actual diving skills.

The ITDA-IHMP Agency certification process is based on its own methodology for assessing and evaluating diving knowledge, abilities and practical skills. During training, students must demonstrate that they can safely and independently perform the required skills appropriate to the level of the course.

In Slovakia, ITDA-IHMP Agency Slovakia provides support for the certification of recreational, sport, technical, cave, rescue and medical divers. Training is conducted according to the ITDA-IHMP educational system and is led by qualified instructors.

We focus on practical skill development, safety, diver comfort and the ability to respond correctly in different situations. The goal is not simply to meet the minimum requirements, but to develop divers who truly understand their skills and are able to use them safely in real-world situations.

Continuous assessment takes place throughout the training. If a student needs additional time, individual exercises can be repeated and skills further developed before the actual certification.

A certificate can only be issued after the required standards have been met. If a student does not demonstrate the required skills, the instructor may recommend additional training, repetition of exercises or an extension of the training program. Additional training may be charged depending on the extent of preparation required.

What is required to obtain a certificate?

To obtain the relevant ITDA-IHMP certification, the requirements established for the specific level of diver training must be fulfilled.

• Demonstrate sufficient theoretical knowledge and successfully complete the relevant theoretical examination with the required result.
• Successfully perform the required diving skills and practical exercises at a level appropriate to the qualification.
• Demonstrate the ability to safely plan and conduct dives, including basic analysis and management of diving-related risks.
• Successfully complete the required self-rescue and buddy rescue exercises according to the level of the course completed.
• Complete the required first aid, CPR and, where applicable, additional medical and rescue training if these are part of the specific qualification.
• For higher-level qualifications, demonstrate sufficient experience, independence and the ability to safely use the relevant diving equipment and procedures.
• During training, the instructor must provide appropriate supervision of students and be responsible for their safety within the scope of the relevant qualification.
